Big House, Big Mission

Located in the corn town of Brentwood, California, Big House Beans establishes their business with an empowering presence and message #morethanjustcoffee. Customers return for a cup of fresh coffee, valued oat milk, and unwinding ambiance - - - but this is not all they are known for. Big House Beans serves their coffee with a purpose, where each cup is a symbol for second chances, uniqueness, and community. This coffee shop fosters diversity, unconditional love, and potential to their customers and their employees.

The founder, LeeAnn Krause, and co-founder, John Krause, share a firm understanding that life can be difficult and unplanned. This feeling kindled a business mission with a passion for coffee and to help others find hope again in second chances. The co-founder, John Krause, was a former inmate and understands how difficult reentering the world can be after incarceration. The business believes in mentoring and reminding people of their potential.

I return to this coffee shop because they serve damn good beverages and hospitality. I return especially for their strong ethics and mission to uplift the community through diversity, mentoring, and second chances. Here is a local business that I can support because they want to support me and our community.
